What a year we have all had. In February Dwayne turned the big 4-0 and we celebrated 10 years together. March we lost a great lady and we all still miss her so much. I know in time our hearts will mend. But when there is death we also have life. And we welcomed another girl into the family when Elizabeth was born. In April Rose was born to big sister Paige. So even though we had much to be sad about, we also had so much to celebrate. Mom turned 60 in July and we all showed up at Auntie Judy's to celebrate everyone who had a birthday in June and July. October saw a big change with the Tanner's when Dwayne made a career change and took a job with Boardwalk. As well Dad turned 65 and is now receiving his first pension cheque. :) The kids have grown so much this year and sure have kept me on my toes.
I feel that it is time to stop the blog. As you can probably see I have not been very consistent on updating it. The kids are getting older and there really isn't much to write about anymore. Facebook seems to be where I update the most. I won't be shutting down the blog totally. So if you need a nug fix, you'll still be able to come here.
Happy New Year to everyone and may 2011 be the best year ever. Love you all

A New Blog
I started up a new blog this morning. It's for all the hats I've been making. http://nugcreations.blogspot.com. It's just in the beginning stages and may take a bit to get it totally up and running.

Clarification
Back To School
I would have to say that out of all my favorite times of the year, Thanksgiving has always been my favorite. Since the arrival of my babes, Christmas over took Thanksgiving. And since my kids started going to school, the Staples commerical totally has it right, this is the MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR!!! Now don't get me wrong, I love my children. And I make sure I tell them that everyday. But after two months of fighting, I'm bored, can I do this, why can't I do that, a person goes a little crazy. So even though I'm sad that they are one year older and one year further away from the babies they use to be, I think they should declare the day the children go back to school as a holiday.

Lazyeeman Lake
Friday we set out on our little journey to Sangudo to do a little camping. Of course I dragged my feet the whole way. I may have grown up in the country, but being in Edmonton these past 8 1/2 years has made me a true City Girl. Don't get me wrong, I love the fresh air and beautiful scenery, but I also love hot water and electricity. Well this City Girl had loads to complain about. We were only in camp for an hour and I had to use the ladies room. What would be our bathroom..AN OUTHOUSE!!! I plugged my nose and went in. Came out of the outhouse and right away got stung by a BEE!!!! Then a storm blew in and flattened the tent and soaked everything. Things sure didn't start off on the right foot.
The kids had a blast. (with the exception of Riley and Bella being sick the whole time.) They were gone the minute our van was turned off. Fishing poles in hand and big smiles. I have never seen the kids so happy. We didn't have to worry about them at all. They played in the paddle boats, caught fish, made tye dyed shirts, played dime toss, and jumped on the trampoline. The skies were beautiful at night. With amazing sunsets and stars you could almost touch. Saturday night we enjoyed wonderful fireworks and Sunday we ended the trip with the most delicious pancake breakfast. We will definitely be going back next year.
Ok now the scary moment we had with Bella. She had been on the trampoline all weekend. Sunday we were packing up the van getting ready to go. She was off jumping on the trampoline. One of the grandkids of the owners of the campsite was driving around the property having fun. He drove the cart into the trampoline. Bella happened to be on it at the time. She went flying into the air and landed first on the bar of the trampoline and then onto the ground. Bailey happened to see it and went running. Dwayne took off after he heard screaming. Bella landed pretty hard and has some bruising on her side. Thank God there was a nurse on hand. It was a pretty scary moment for us and everyone there. Today she is a little sore, but it looks like she is on the mend.
Well that is a condense version of what happened. I do have to admit it was a very enjoyable weekend and I'm looking forward to next year. Just don't tell anyone. I have a reputation to uphold. I'll post pictures later for those of you who are not on Facebook.
