Mr. & Mrs. Tanner

Saturday, we officially became the Tanner Fam. I didn't think it was such a big deal that Dwayne and I married. But now that I look back at it, I think its something that should have happened a while ago. The unity in the family has become stronger. We seem more like a family. I'm amazed on how we were able to get somewhat of a decent picture of the five of us. One of the kids is usually making a funny face or crying. I think I'll have to make this one our Christmas card this year.

Volunteer Tea

Today was the Volunteer Tea at the school. Since Bella and I put a bit of time in at the school we were invited. We enjoyed tasty treats and drinks. Teresa, Bella's partner in crime, and her Nana (Sue) were there too. Sue bought the girls pink outfits with matching socks, undergarments, and hair pretties. Having them dressed the same was too much. Lots of comments were made on how cute they were. Usually they are covered in dirt or lunch. So to see them dressed up was nice. I had to get the pictures quickly before they got dirty.

Let The Water Bill Rise

The weather was prefect to break out the sprinkler and have the kids run through it. They wanted the pool out, but it's just not warm enough yet. Once again Riley put on a show with his poses. He loves to show off. Hmm I wonder who he gets that from?

Busy Month

I'm so excited that June is here. There are so many things happening this month that I'm hoping to put more pictures up. As most of you know Dwayne and I are getting married on the 7th. I'm hoping the weather will hold. We are getting married outside. I am sure that I will have some pictures to put up.
Bella turns five this month as well. I really haven't decided on what we are going to do yet. I'll let everyone know when we figure it out.

Saturday was clean up day around the house. Bella decided that she needed to help her dad fix Riley's screen. She had a very important job of holding the screen in place. I'm sure if she wasn't there, it wouldn't have gotten fixed. And of course she works better with her high heel shoes. Riley and Bailey are taking Hip Hop lessons at school. Today was their first day. Bella and I went to watch this afternoon. I forgot to bring my camera, I'll try and remember next time.

Best Friends

Here's a picture of Bella and her best friend Teresa. These two are always together. Teresa, along with her Nana, work the lunch hour at the school with Bella and me. It's funny to see the two of them together. Both are the youngest, both are headstrong. They will be going to kindergarten together this September. I feel sorry for their teacher. They are going to give him a run for his money.
The count down to the last day of school is on. I think the kids and I are done. Doing homework has become such an effort. (even on my part) I know I'll regret writing that. Come August I'll be screaming for them to go back to school.

Blue Skies and Bike Rides

You know that the summer season is around the corner when the bikes come out. This weekend we pulled the bikes out for the kids and fixed them up. Now we have tried to bring them out before. But every time we have, it snowed. Not a little bit, a foot of it. So don't blame us for being a little cautious in doing it. I have a feeling that we won't see Riley now until it snows again. His life revolves around bike riding. This summer we are bound and determined to get Bailey riding without training wheels. She needs to put some time and effort into it though.

Isn't she lovely. This is what happens when you eat a chocolate cookie. We were laughing so hard. I'm surprised that this picture turned out. It was hard to get a good one.

Three Amigos

I wanted a group hug and this is what I got. I had to push Riley closer so I could take the picture. Oh well you take what you can get.

I just got back from a field trip I went on with Bailey. We headed to Fort Edmonton for the morning. It was lots of fun. I was on Molasses Candy duty. I stood over a hot burning stove for two hours making candy. Now the weather here is damp and cold. A nice roaring fire would be a pleasant welcome for someone who has just come in from outside. Nice roaring fire my butt. That thing was dang hot. I'm so glad I live in a time period where we have modern technology like ELECTRICITY.
