Winter Is Still Holding On

Because the weather is what it is, I have been forced to put my hanging baskets in the bathtub. How sad. Well at least I can look at the flowers while I'm in the bathroom. Winter seems to be back. I must have slept through Spring and Summer though.

Dirty, Dirty, Dog

I don't know why Oliver goes out and finds the only wet patch of dirt. He hates to have a bath and you would think he would stay away from the mud. I turned my back for a quick second while raking the leaves in the backyard and this was the result.

Grocery Tower Building

After unloading the bags of groceries, the kids decided to build towers with the boxes and cans. Well...Riley and Bailey built the towers, Bella stood by and cried.

Park Time With The Girls

The girls and I went to the park while Riley was at his baseball practice. Here on some shots of them playing. My darling daughter. This is why we call her Hillbilly Bailey.

Baseball Update

Riley's first game of the season is on Thursday at Confederation Park. It's just off the Whitemud past 111th street. It should really be interesting. The weather has been really crappy and he's only been to one practice, so I don't expect anything spectacular at the first game. But of course we'll be there to cheer him on loud and proud.

Baseball, Easter, and Such

I know it has been a while since I've updated the blog. I have mentioned it before on the blog that my time seems to be very limited these days. And judging from my e-mail and some comments from people, it takes me forever to write back. Today, in between housework, I have found some time to update everyone on what has been happening around here.

Riley's tryouts at baseball went very well. Even though he hasn't played the game, he is catching on quickly. We had two evenings where he did running, hitting, pitching, and catching. Running for Riley comes second nature. We just tell him that a bunch of girls are chasing him and he's gone. Hitting he didn't do too bad at. With practice he'll improve. As for pitching and catching, well not too good. Again with some practice he'll be fine. His games will start at the end of this month and go until the end of June. I have pictures, but I can't find my cord to upload them on the big computer and our laptop is out of commission until the new battery comes in. I'll get some up as soon as I can.

Easter this year was pretty low key. The kids scored and we spent most of the weekend soaking up rays and riding bikes. When the weather is good, you take advantage of it. And I've got the burn to show it. It's too bad it's going to snow tomorrow. Oh well, we should be thankful that we had such a beautiful weekend.

Bailey finally lost her front tooth. She looks pretty funny with one tooth missing. Hillbilly Bailey is what I call her. Her other one is loose too, but it looks like it will be a while before she loses that one.

Bella is going through something right now where she doesn't want to be away from me. It's like she thinks I'm not coming back. Which is strange because the other two never did that. She was suppose to go on a sleepover last Friday and she freaked right out. She has slept over at this place before and never had any problems. I hope she'll grow out of this soon. Other than that she's her usual self.
