Pumpkin Carving Time

We spent Sunday afternoon carving pumpkins. The kids designed the face and Dwayne and I cut it out. Bailey had a hard time taking the guts out. There was a couple of times she gagged. I thought she was going to throw up.

A Night Out For Bailey's Birthday

We took the kids to Jubilations Friday night. Even though I was battling this cold, we had a blast. The kids got a chance to go on stage and dance with one of the actors. And halfway through the show Dwayne got up stage to dance to It`s Raining Men. So funny. It was a wonderful night.

Yes. It's a Blog Update

Don't rub your eyes, yes I'm updating the blog. It has been an extremely busy month and my time has been stretched to its limit. Here's a quick rundown on what we have been doing.

Bailey has been involved in Running Club at school three days a week. That thankfully came to an end on Thursday. It will pick up again in the Spring. Both Riley and Bailey are singing in the choir this year. So we'll get to see both of them up on the stage at the Christmas concert in December. Bella is learning to read independently, spell, and how to survive a whole day without mommy. After a rough couple of weeks, she has found her way. As for me...well I'm getting by. It's an adjustment having a time to myself.

Why Oh Why?!?!

Bella attempted to brush her hair with a toy doll's round brush the other night. Of course she got it twisted and stuck in her hair. Instead of coming and getting me, she tried to take it out herself. I headed down to her room to tell them lights out and she was sitting on her bed in tears. It took Dwayne a half an hour to get it out. She fell asleep.

Back To School

With backpacks and lunches in tow, the kids headed off to their first day of school. Bella was so excited I really don't think she slept very much that night. Bailey, for about two weeks, talked about school and counted down the days. Riley tried to play like he wasn't excited at all, but he was the first one dressed and waiting to go. Now I'm left with some time on my hands. I guess there is no excuse for the laundry not being done.

Bella's Missing Tooth

Just over a week ago Bella finally lost her first tooth. She has been waiting and praying for a tooth to fall out since Riley lost his first tooth. This was especially sad for me because this officially makes her a big kid.

Canada Day Celebrations

Canada Day was a busy one. We went down to the river and threw rocks. The kids love it down there. Bella decided that the best way to enjoy herself was to sit in the water and relax. She has no fear. Afterward Riley and Dwayne headed to the movies to watch the new Transformers movie. Of course he loved it and hasn't stop talking about it. The boys came home and we headed down to the River Valley and watched the fireworks. It was a very full day.
