Nothing Exciting

Ahh. I wish I had something exciting to write. But unfortunately nothing comes to mind. The kids are on Spring Break for the next week. The weather is suppose to be crappy. Maybe by Tuesday we can go out to the park.
Tonight Riley is staying the night with Amanda and Karim. He enjoys that. Karim is the like the brother he doesn't have. They do cool things together. As long as he comes home in one piece, I'm happy. The girls are having a sleepover themselves. They are sleeping in the same bed tonight, even though they share a room. I don't get it. I don't have a sister, so I don't understand. That's it. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Easter

Easter this year was pretty quiet. Here are some pictures.
Riley was so excited to get his Nascar Easter Basket. Though from the picture you can't really tell how excited he is.
Bailey just being silly with the goggles. The sticker on her forehead is from her Strawberry Shortcake chocolate. Don't ask. I still haven't figure this child out.
Bella (along with the other two) had fun colouring eggs. This was the only decent picture I could get out of all the ones I took.

Report Card Day

Today is the day that I get to brag about my kids. I have good kids. I (meaning Dwayne and I)have worked hard to have good kids. And when my good kids to something great, I need to brag about it. Don't get me wrong, when they are naughty I feel the whole world should know that too. Today with shaking hands I opened the dreaded Report Card. Since I am up at the school all the time I am aware of what they are up to. But what the teacher tells me and what gets put on those two pages could be two different things. Well I am please to announce that so far I have two very bright children. (not too sure about the third one yet.) They came home with A's and B's. I'm so happy that they are doing very well in school. Keep your fingers crossed that it continues through the years.

Just Because

Came across this picture as I was cleaning up the computer this morning. Thought I would put it up. No funny story. Just a picture of Bella.

Kid Update and The Book I Couldn't Put Down

The kids are great. We went to Celebration of Learning last night at the school. This is where the kids get to show us what they have been doing all year in school. Projects, tests, etc. Since I seem to live at the school, this was a chance for the kids to show their dad what they have done. It was a great night and I tried to enjoy myself. But... at home there was a little book that was calling me. Begging me to come home and forget everything else. To pick it up and read the last few chapters I had left.
The book I'm talking about is Marley and Me. Kevin and Deb gave it me to as an early birthday present. And since birthdays aren't a big deal between us, (Kevin seems to be late sending a card and I'm bad for forgetting to send a card) this was a real treat. Now I'm always skeptical of books that are given or suggested by people. I feel a book that someone absolutely loved might not be loved by another person. Such as movies, music, etc. All I can say is that this was the best book I've read since J.K. Rowling released the last book of the Harry Potter series. I fell in love with this book, the writer, and most of all Marley. I laughed out loud. I can't recall the last time that I laughed out loud over a book. I'm sure I drove everyone nuts because of it. And in the end, knowing what the ending would be before I even picked up the book, I cried. Now I'm not a person that is full of too much emotion. I don't cry over tv ads or sad movies. And least of all I thought I would never cry over a book. But this one made me do it. After I finished the last chapter I was sad about Marley, but I was so sad that the book was over. So here goes. I recommend this book. Even if you aren't a dog lover, get this book. Read it, cherish it, and shed a few tears over it. It is SO worth it. I will be surprised if you don't like it.

This One Takes The Prize.

If you come here often you will see that I have posted a couple of pictures of Bella sleeping. (not to mention about twenty I have saved on the computer.) And as you also know she has the capability of falling asleep anywhere. I thought that sleeping at the table while colouring was the best that it could get. Well let's just say this one tops all the places she has fallen asleep. Now at first she was singing to herself. Quietly. About five minutes later I notice she wasn't singing but that she was snoring. "There was no way she fell asleep," I thought to myself. That's not possible? Well my friends it is. Here is the latest picture of Bella sleeping. Enjoy. It looks like she's praying.

I think I'll have to do a Scrapbook of her just sleeping.

Happy March!!

Spring is in the air. The sun is shining and the snow seems to have been put off until later on tonight. It's been a busy day today. Mom has moved out and into her new place on the South side. It was a crazy morning, but thanks to the Turcsanyi boys (and a couple of sidekicks) they got 95% of her stuff moved. Riley is going there to spend the night. Dwayne and I have tickets to Dinner Theatre tonight, so the girls will be going to their Great Auntie Judy's place. But first the kids are going with Auntie Angie and Marty to The Science Centre for the afternoon.

As you can see I've changed up the blog a bit. I was tired of the dark look. This look seems so Springy. (is that a word) I hope everyone has a chance to get outside and enjoy the weather. I heard it's raining in Chilliwack, so maybe tomorrow the weather will be nicer. Have a great weekend.
